Anneliese Bolland, (Ph.D., The University of Alabama) is the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Research. She primarily teaches courses in the area of research methods and statistics and has taught in several departments at The University of Alabama and the University of Alabama at Birmingham, including Criminal Justice and Criminology, Communicative Disorders, Educational Research/Human Studies, Communication Studies, University Honors, and Social Work. She also works in the Institute for Social Science Research in the College of Arts and Sciences. Her research interests lie primarily in adolescent poverty, but also in community-based research methods and evaluation. Currently, she is the PI for a grant funded by the Office for Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention and an evaluator of research studies, including two funded by the National Science Foundation.
