Melissa Sharpe is a junior at The University of Alabama majoring in Pharmaceutical Chemistry/Sciences. Her interests in research center on drug use, abuse and treatment methods. During her freshman year,Melissa worked in an exercise physiology laboratory which focused on women's menstrual cycle phase on cardiovascular drift. During her sophomore year, she was apart of the Emerging Scholars Program where she met and worked with Dr. Fedewa and Dr. Witte. In her future years of her undergraduate research Melissa hopes to continue working on drug and health related research projects. After undergraduate, Melissa plans to attend graduate school to achieve her goal of being a medical researcher. Melissa is excited to help and share her knowledge with students about getting involved in undergraduate research.
